Ludhiana, Nov 11
Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal on Monday instructed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the visit of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Ludhiana on November 12.
The Vice President will preside over the Indian Ecological Society International Conference-2024, organized by the Indian Ecological Society in collaboration with Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. Later, he will also attend the 32nd edition of the Sat Paul Mittal National Awards at Sat Paul Mittal School.
Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will also participate in the Indian Ecological Society International Conference at PAU.
During a coordination meeting with officials from the civil and police departments, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal reviewed the arrangements being made at both venues. He directed the police department to ensure adequate security, as well as manage traffic and parking. Additionally, he requested the health department to assign sufficient medical staff at all venues and establish necessary facilities in line with health protocols. The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has been instructed to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. Similarly, the fire services department has been tasked with providing adequate fire- fighting arrangements.
Furthermore, Jorwal urged officials from all relevant departments to work closely together to ensure that the Vice President's visit is organized smoothly and satisfactorily.
